Ag and Equipment Videographer and Photographer in Tremonton, Utah

Out in the Bear River Valley, the most impressive thing a lot of businesses own is sitting in a yard or running in a field, and almost none of it is on video. I'm Sarah Rasmussen, Sarah Rasmussen Productions is my commercial video company in Smithfield on the Cache Valley side of the hill, I'm FAA Part 107 certified, and I drive west to Box Elder County for shoots.

Tremonton

What businesses in Tremonton usually need.

The fairgrounds are a terrible place to film equipment. Film the work instead.

  • Machines working in real fields, weeks before the fair: cutting, baling, spraying, hauling, turning a field over.
  • Three cuts from one shoot: a silent booth loop with big text and the logo early, a 60-second brand video, and short vertical clips.
  • Hands on the controls, a mechanic torquing a bolt, somebody greasing a fitting. Those say "we know what we're doing" and make great clips on their own.
  • Drone footage for scale, how many acres one machine covers before lunch, planned with the operator before anything takes off.
  • A quiet interview in the office, because the field is loud and the talking needs its own moment.

From a shoot

Fair week and the other eleven months.

The frame I open with is a wheel line doing its job on a June day at Hemsley Ranch: equipment in motion, in its own field, which is the whole assignment. Box Elder County Fair week is the one time a big chunk of the county is standing in the same place looking at machinery, so the first version of your video is ready to play in the booth. Then the same shoot gets sliced by season: planting and prep in spring, irrigation and hay and the drone footage in summer, harvest in fall, the shop and the parts counter in winter. One working-season shoot and you post something seasonal every month without filming again.

Pricing

What it costs in Tremonton.

A brand story film starts at $1,200: concept, script, one shoot day, edit with one revision and social cutdowns. Drone is a quoted add-on and the flight gets planned with whoever's in the cab. Tremonton is outside Cache Valley, so there's a travel fee, and I quote it up front with the rest of the number.

FAQ

Questions from Tremonton.

When should we film?
Open your calendar and write down the three days in the next two months when your best-looking equipment will actually be running, with the field next to each one. That list is your shoot date.
Can you fly near moving equipment?
Yes, with a plan. We agree on the path, where I'll stand and how far back I stay before takeoff, and I check the airspace for each field beforehand.
Our business isn't tractors. Does this still apply?
Ag isn't only tractors. Greenhouses, hay, feed, irrigation, the shop. The video shouldn't pretend otherwise.

Put your machines on camera while they're still running. Call or text 435-764-3606 or use /contact.
