Why I Started Sarah Rasmussen Productions

I kept seeing great local businesses with an online presence that did not do them justice. Sarah Rasmussen Productions started as my answer to that.

The short version

I started Sarah Rasmussen Productions because so many local businesses needed good photo and video content but did not know where to begin. My work helps them capture brand photography, create video that shows their services, build a content library, and present themselves clearly online.

  • Great businesses often have online presences that do not match their work
  • Photos and video together show what a business is really like
  • The goal is to make content creation simple for busy owners

I started Sarah Rasmussen Productions because I saw how many local businesses needed high-quality photo and video content and did not always know where to begin. Most of the owners I meet in Logan and around Cache Valley are busy running their companies. They just want a clear, reliable way to create professional visuals for their marketing. I wanted to be that.

Growing up around small businesses

Living and working in Cache Valley, I have always been surrounded by local businesses that are deeply connected to the community. Restaurants and boutiques, contractors and salons: these businesses are built by people who care about what they do.

Over time I noticed something many of them had in common. They were doing great work, but their online presence did not reflect it. The problem usually was not the quality of the business. It was finding the time or resources to create strong visual marketing.

That is where photography and video can make a difference.

Helping businesses show what they do

One of the things I love most about this work is helping businesses communicate visually what they do every day. A photo or video can show the atmosphere of a business, the services being performed, the products being created, and the people behind the brand in seconds.

Those visuals help customers understand the experience they can expect, and that clarity makes it easier for people to feel confident reaching out.

Every business has something unique about the way it works, and strong visuals help share that with the community.

Photography and video work together

Photography is the foundation of most business marketing, and video has become just as valuable. Short videos show how services work, what a business environment feels like, and the personality behind the brand.

According to Wyzowl's video marketing statistics, 91% of businesses use video as a marketing tool, and many report increased engagement with video content. Combining photos and video gives a business a complete set of marketing visuals.

Working across Northern Utah and Southern Idaho

Sarah Rasmussen Productions works with businesses throughout Logan, Ogden, Brigham City, Layton and Southern Idaho. Every project is different, but the goal stays the same: create visuals that clearly represent the business and support its marketing. Whether it is brand photography, commercial video or social media content, I focus on keeping the process straightforward for business owners.

Why I keep doing it

Building this business has been about more than photography and video. It is about helping local businesses tell their story in a way that feels clear and genuine. If you are thinking about creating new marketing content, start with the moments that truly represent your business. Those everyday details often tell the strongest story.

Business Tip

Focus on showing the real work you do. Customers are curious about how your services are performed, what your workspace looks like, and who they will interact with. Photos and videos that capture those real moments feel the most authentic and engaging.

And if you ever need help bringing your business's story to life through photos or video, that is exactly what I love to do.

I run Sarah Rasmussen Productions from Logan and photograph and film restaurants, shops, and brands across Logan and Cache Valley, from short seasonal menu sessions to full brand days.
